Another School Year Over

Haydens second grade class

ME!

The kids and our amazing principal Jarod Sites.

Carly and some friends.
Well we made it through another year.  I have to say it is the best one so far.  As long as as I have been working at Spring Creek that is.  It definitely had its ups and downs but over all it was good.  We are going to have some major changes next year which I am kind of leery of though.  First of all Mr. Mcarty is not coming back.  He is the only special ed teacher I have worked with since I have been at Spring Creek and I will really miss him.  The lady we are supposed to get to replace him is supposed to be wonderful but I don't like change.  Secondly we found out our beloved wonderful amazing principal Jarod Sites is going to Dixon.  He has done such amazing things for our school and it makes most of us sick to think about.  All I can say is hopefully we get some amazing people to replace the ones we are losing because they have some big shoes to fill.  The kids learned so much this year.  They both have excellent grades and have grown and developed emotionally also.  They are such wonderful kids.  I really am proud to be their mom.

Professional Pics

I know it may be overkill for some of you to see all of  my crochet post but I just can't help posting them.  These are all the professional pics I have had done so far.  I love love love seeing my things on cute little ones.  I am so excited to have them.  I can't wait for my extra talented friend Amy to take pictures of some of my other things.  She is so super creative with her photography.  It is very stylized and amazing.

What my counter top looked like when I was finished crafting.

Well the title of this post explains it all.  After a few hours of crafting I am amazed at what a mess I can make.

Thank goodness I like the result and then I feel like it is all worth it and I don't mind cleaning it up so much!

Summer Stuff, Please give me your opinions!

Since I have opened my etsy shop most of the things gear toward winter wear.  In trying to figure out things to make and sale during summer Carly and I came up with some fun headbands.   I know that most of you have seen these on facebook but I thought I would post them on here anyway.  What do you guys think?  Honest opinions please.  I need to make some things that will make me some money for summer.  I am currently asking 10 for each.

Mothers Day

Every mothers day I look forward to seeing what my precious kids are going to do for me.  They are so creative and excited about making me happy.  I truly do love this time in my life and look forward to this kind of present more than anything material they could give me.  This morning when the alarm clock went off there was a note on top of it that said follow the hand and footprints.  On each of the prints was was a nice little note like, we love you, your cute.  It made me happy just seeing them.  I followed them down into Haydens room where both of the kids were hiding and jumped out when I came in.  Carly had all the cute little notes and cards they had made for me sitting on top of a laundry basket.  I love it.  They were so happy and thats what makes me happy.  On top of it all Carly made me chocolate covered strawberries for breakfast.  It was a wonderful morning.  Steve also gave me a couple of gift certificates to two of my favorite stores.  Hobby Lobby and Old Navy.  I truly am blessed.  Even though my mom wasn't here to share mothers day with this year it was nice to talk to her on the phone.  Thanks goodness she and Angel will be home soon.  Life hasn't been the same without them.  Thank You so much to my wonderful family.  I truly am blessed.

Cub Scouts

Hayden has had a blast being in the scouting program.  Ever since he has turned eight he couldn't wait until he was able to earn his first badge.  He earned his Bob Cat and he always won the most awesome looking car at our pinewood derby.  He had a great night.  I am very proud of my hard working little scout.

Family Home Evening Fun!

I have to admit I am not very good at planning family home evenings.  After working and running errands it is usually the last thing on my mind but I do always try to at least do something fun and simple with the family.  This week we decided to try out some new games that we have gotten recently.  Hayden loves to play farkle on my facebook account so the Easter bunny brought that too him.  We had lots of fun playing it followed by a funny game of headbands.  The kids got this from their grandparents a few months ago.  This is the first time we played it as a family and we had a blast.  Hayden had a blast entertaining us.  He of course thought he was much funnier then we did since his jokes mostly consisted of him passing gas and then saying "Ok thats my question."  And of course with our weird senses of humor we laugh at him.  Even though its hard to round the family up and seems like more of a burden I am always so happy when we do it.  The kids  love it and we truly do cherish these wonderful times we get to spend together as a family (Even though they consist a lot of Haydens weird bodily sounds).
