Question

Ok for all of you experienced people out there, here is a question. I was just wondering if you have a birthday party for one of your kids and invite the guests somewhere that costs money, are you supposed to pay for all the children, or expect the parents to pay for their own children? What do you think? I was just wondering what the proper thing to do is in that situation.

  1. I think if you invite the kid then you should pay BUT if the parent comes and brings another little kid they pay for themselves and the other kid.

  2. I have seen both done, but in my opinion, if you invite a kid to that party you pay for that kid. I have a totally embarrassing story about this kind of thing, back when I was little. I'll tell you about it another time.

  3. I have also done both. My daughter got invited to go a party that I had to pay for I was annoyed when I spent $20.00 on her gift plus the cost of the playcenter and food. On the other hand when we have Family at parties with cousins that is a whole other story unless its only 1 cousin.

  4. I have to agree with those that said if you invite someone somewhere you pay. Who's birthday is coming up? :)

  5. I think that you are obligated to pay for the kids that you invite. That sounds like a fun party though!

  6. Thanks for all the advice! The reason I asked was because Carly got invited to a party and the mom wanted us to pay for bowling. I myself thought this was quite odd!
