Tonsils

Just waiting to get registered at the hospital!

All ready to go and still smiling!

Killing time playing the D.S. since the Dr. was an hour and a half late!
Hayden has had huge tonsils ever since I can remember.  Every time I take him to the Dr. and its someone new they always are amazed that they could be that big.  The look like they close off his throat!  We have contemplated over the years whether or not we should get them taken out or not and it just never seemed right.  Other than them being enormous he didn't have very many side effects from them until last year.  Last year he got Strep a total of five time.  He also suffered from chronic stomach aches.  Finally Dr. Lauret put two and two together and decided they were both due to him having chronic strep and the tonsils finally needed to come out.  I felt like it was time also, the poor kid needed some relief from being sick.  Last Wednesday was the big day.  He was so brave until the men and women dressed in green came in and they he cried for about 2 seconds but quickly regained his composure.  Everything went well and now he is on the road to recovery.  I just hate seeing the poor kid in pain.  He is so amazing though because he hardly ever complains but I know it has to hurt him.  Hopefully this is the end of STREP!

Spanish Fork Reservoir

Like father like son.

Don't fall over Don.

There is no way I am posting a full body shot of me in a bathing suit!

The kids and I have loved going to the Spanish Fork Reservoir for the last two Summers.  It is such a fun uncrowded place to take the kids, and best of all it is FREE.  This last week we were able to go with Don and Christian.  It was fun getting to spend more time with them.

Cabin Fun!

Last month my youngest brother Don moved out here.  Can I tell you how excited I am for this!  He brought his little boy Christian to come and stay with him for the Summer!  It has been so fun having them both here.  My kids absolutely love having Christian around.  I am so touched by what a cute and fun dad my baby brother has turned out to be.  He is so kind and loving with his little boy and you can truly tell that he loves every moment that he gets to spend with him.  One of the fun things we have been able to do with them is go to my moms cabin.  We went last week and grilled some meat and just hung out and enjoyed each others company.
Don

Christian had so much fun!  He is such a cute little guy.  At one
point we looked over and he was throwing hand fulls of dirt over
his head!  He even tried licking his  hand to get the dirt off.  I called
him pig pen the rest of the night!

The kids love pulling the wagon up the hill and sitting in it and riding down.
I even tried it and it is pretty fun!

Carly is everyones little mother.  She is such a nurturing caring girl.
I am so proud of the way she loves everyone.

Just wondering?

Just wondering if it bugs anyone else when people read your blog you know, but don't leave comments?  Isn't that the whole point of having a blog, so that people will read it and comment!  Just curious.

I LOVE this hat!

Ok so I like to make hats but usually I am not much of a hat wearer.  I bought this pattern off of etsy and have made a few different ones.  I have to say I love it!  I actually like to wear this hat.  I think that it totally looks great on everyone that has tried it on.  It is very flattering and comfy to wear also.  I added it to my etsy shop so we shall see if people like it as much as I do.  If not, o well.  My friend Jessica Jensen is going to do a review of it on her blog and I will have a give away of some kind as soon as I get one made and sent to her.  I will let you know when that happens!

Such an inspiration to me!

This is the last recital Carly was in.  I love to watch her continually improve in ability and confidence.  I never had the courage to sing in front of people as a kid and I still don't.  She is an inspiration to me.

More Yellowstone

Most of these pictures are taken around Norris Geyser Basin.  We loved walking around it and seeing all the neat things.

These are the cabins we stayed at in Canyon!

Yellowstone 1

Since I have so many pictures of Yellowstone I will post them in sections starting with the wildlife.  We had such a blast and it was a wonderful trip over all.  I love spending time with my family and being in the outdoors.

The first night we were there we saw this mama Grizzy with her little cub.  It was so cute to see them together.

This is the cabin we stayed in at Canyon!

I can't tell is this is the mother Grizzy with her cub, but we ended up seeing six Grizzlies all  together.

We saw about five coyotes while we were there but we ended up coming across this one right after it
attacked a baby elk.  I guess it was quite traumatic.  I'm glad I missed it.

Weird snake while driving through Mammoth!

I have to say I am not a fan of buffalo.  Not because they aren't cute, but because one tried to ram
our van a few years back while we were there.  Now every time we come across one by the road my stomach does flips.
Thank goodness this one was not in the mood to charge.

A moose we saw while driving through Jackson Hole.
