PIne Wood Derby

"Wii Racer"

One of my favorite scouting events is the Pine Wood Derby.  Its just pure fun!  Hayden did great this year.  We decided to make his car into a Wii Mote and I have to say it turned out pretty darn cute.  It also took second place.  Way to go Hayden!

My version of the Yarn Wreath

I absolutely love all of those yarn wreath that are so popular right now.  I decided to make my own and why not?  I have TONS of yarn around my house.  Here is the version that I ended up with.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

Carly and Haydens skills

Every time I take my camera somewhere Carly grabs it away from me without even a blink.  I am happy to let her take it and I get a kick out of seeing what she comes up with.  This time she took it during Haydens last Jr Jazz basketball game.  We get to see her photo skills and Haydens basketball skills all in one.  Here are some of the goodies.  

Happy 9th Birthday Hayden.

Last week we celebrated Haydens 9th birthday.  I can't believe that my kids are getting so old.  He is my baby and time flies so fast.  We had a blast for his birthday.  We went to see Star Wars in 3D and then we had a family party!  This kid loves spending time with his family.  If he doesn't get enough family time he starts asking for it.  It makes me super happy that he likes us and would rather spend time with us than do other things.  We love you Hayden!

Haydens class made a book of birthday wishes for him.  Sometimes 3rd graders are hilarious!

Hayden has a friend that looks exactly like him from the back.  They been in the same class at school since first grade and whenever I have seen them from the rear I can't tell them apart.  Today I took a pic.  Can you tell them apart?

More Cute Carly!

I know I post tons of pics of my kids and my hats but I can't help it when they turn out so stinking cute.  I love how Carly looks in these pics.  She is such a doll and it is obvious that she is a preteen!  Yikes!

Banana Splits and Board Games

This New Years was super fun.  I got to do the best thing of all, hang out with my kiddos and my hubby.  We had a blast.  Carly had the idea to make banana splits, which I can never object to and Hayden wanted to try out all the board games we got for Christmas.  It was perfect.  I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else.  I love spending quality time with the family.  Steve went to bed about 10 because he has to get up super early but the kids and I styled awake to ring in the new year!
